Metallica- Blackened Intro Bass Demo/jam

Bass guitar demo/jam of the intro to the song 'Blackened' featured on Metallica's "...And Justice For All" album.

As in the original recording, this was played backwards to how it's heard on the album, then reversed in mixing as doing it any other way would deprive the track it's unique style of note bends and volume swell. This recording has three layers to it so it's actually a little incomplete as I was supposed to make a 4th layer with an extra higher register melody using some harmonics, but I didn't get around to finishing that at the time I recorded it.
