New Blue Dream and Blue Velvet Tanks

Hey Shrimp keepers,

Hope you're having a great week! Happy hump day! I have a ton going on right now with the wedding, the house and resetting the shrimp room. I've put together about 9 new tanks since last week. Thank God for Jeff!

The new shrimp tanks that I've set up include a super tiger tank, tiger tank, orange neocaridina tank, yellow with golden stripe tank, three blue velvet tanks and three blue dream tanks.

I'm planning to have a blue and black tiger rack, tiger rack, orange and yellow neo rack, red neo rack, blue neo rack, and misc. neo rack. A lot of the shrimp that I've recently got are already breeding. There are tons of berried females in all the tanks. Now, it's time to keep the babies alive :)

Look out for this weeks Fish Room Friday. It's a solid tour with lots of great Victoria Chiclids.

And this week's Shrimp Saturday will be by request. I've gotten quite a few requests for different videos.. I'll have to narrow it down :)

Love the Blue Dreams and Velvet's and I am really going to have to get my hands on some Tigers Shrimp ...I think its time :)

Snowball is one of the hardest shrimps to keep. They breed like crazy and then they get bacterial infections. Also one of the most sensitive to nitrates. I keep moving them from tank to tank but still having issues.

I'm pretty sure that the blue in the super tigers is because they came from culls of OEBT shrimp that did not have much blue. A guy on aquabid sells the slightly blue ones and says that is what they are.

I wish I could show you my shrimp. I have some blue dream that you can see green where they are so light and one has a reddish brown coloration on it. Do these sound blue velvet? Or does this happen with blue dreams that you have to cull?

Hey hope you are not over stressed also have a quick question when you mean golfball sized is that squeeze or just grabbed what is out of the tank also is the cherry shrimp starter kit still available it is still on website?

hi Lup, following your vids as I'm trying to breed blue velvets and today I found my first shrimplet as small as a grain of rice if not smaller and I'm a bit concerned that it's. completely transparent. I have asked around but hopefully you'll be to answer if the shrimp are all transparent when so young?
