National Gallery

We invite you to a virtual journey at the Greek National Gallery! The newly renovated building reopened after an 8 year refurbishment, on 24 March 2021, a day before the 200th anniversary of the Greek War of Independence. The collections of the National Gallery – Alexandros Soutsos Museum in Athens are housed in two buildings. Artworks which trace the history of Greek art in modern times, as well as a group of Western European works, are housed in the main building.
