Watching the joy and hard working family come together for winter. Happy to see Matt and Caroline and Lando of course. Then, hearing the news, endlessly crying for strangers that have touched my own life in such a way I too felt the loss of Calvin. We never know when the time comes and we are called home. Shocked and so sad for your entire family. All we can offer are words and prayers.

In the end, when Pete was narrating, seeing the glory of the aurora borealis and capturing the big dipper as well in its colorful array, as if God himself in His perfect timing scooped up Calvin in it and all our heart's sadness, as if to say, "I got you, all of you. Rest in Me." It leaves a giant hole in our hearts. Loss, but knowing they're in the presence of God, gives comfort, strength and peace. Go in grace and rest easy in God's loving arms, Calvin. ❤

Oh my gosh! I am so very sorry to hear about Cal. My heart goes out to all of you. I lost my son unexpectedly a few years ago and the heartache never ends. The vibrant green moss and the beautiful red leaf are certainly the beginning of a new season. And with each new season, God gives and HE takes. May HE bring you solace during your time of grief. There's nothing more important than family and the memories we make because that's all we take with us when it is our time. The Aurora Borealis was stunning.
