Port Elizabeth’s, The Clan (formerly known as the Moonrakers) and one of their original numbers.
The band backed Virginia Lee at the Penthouse Club in Port Elizabeth. She was so impressed she organised the lads an audition in Johannesburg at Teal Records, and they were signed.
“A Little Lovin’”, their first single gained popularity, and was alleged to have been released in the U.S.A but I cannot find evidence of that.
The band also released another single, “Wait A While”/”I Dial You Number” (PYE, 120, 1966).
The act was sought after to play at Jo’burg’s 505 and Ciros, and Durban’s The Tiles.

The Clan – “A Little Lovin’”. Composed by Leon & Howie Veedom.
Flip side, “Give Me A While”. Composed by Leon & Howie Veedom. Released on the PYE label, 101, 1966.

Line up:

Strong Hollie's influence. Well played, pity the recording wasn't that good. Very much a song of the times.

Never knew the Clan had a 2nd single. I'm guessing it's as rare as hen's teeth. I've got the other single Wait A While and both sides are charming pop gems.
