Step into a day with Geoff and explore his dedication to permaculture, sustainable living, and the environment. This captivating video, filmed and edited by David Trood from The Weedy Garden YouTube channel, offers an intimate look at Geoff's dynamic lifestyle and the permaculture principles he lives by.

Video Highlights:

- Deeply valuing the intimate relationship with the ecosystem on his farm, Geoff finds joy in witnessing the dawn each day and fully embracing the rhythms of farm life.

- His journey into permaculture began with a pivotal moment in 1983 when he completed Bill Mollison's Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC) course, an experience that profoundly altered his perspective on life, agriculture and sustainability.

- Describing permaculture as more than just a science, Geoff emphasizes its role as an ethical design focused on repairing the Earth. He advocates for using local biodiversity and appropriate technology to create sustainable systems.

- Permaculture spreads through a decentralized teaching model, empowering individuals worldwide to become educators and advocates. This approach ensures the continuous growth and evolution of the permaculture movement.

- Integrating his passion for activities such as horse riding and surfing into his permaculture lifestyle, Geoff finds parallels between understanding natural patterns and managing sustainable agricultural practices.

- Aiming for permaculture principles to be adopted as international policy, he emphasizes the importance of training more individuals in permaculture design and leveraging advanced technologies like LiDAR.

- Advocating for the cultivation of local food due to its efficiency and health benefits, Geoff believes that locally grown produce, rich in nutrients and supporting ecological balance, is essential for sustainable living.

- For Geoff, permaculture represents more than just a profession; it is a pathway to personal fulfillment. He sees it as a means to actively contribute to solving global challenges and creating a positive impact on the environment.

Thank you Geoff . The online PDC I took with you in 2019 was life changing!! I threw in my job and now do what I love - growing my own food, increasing biodiversity on my small farm and improving the local ecosystem. During your PDC you encouraged us to share what we are doing to encourage and inspire others so I took that on board and share my journey through YouTube. It brings me as much joy, through communicating with others, as the actual growing does. I would not be here doing all of this without you - thank you so much Linda !!

My life started changing when I started your pdc Geoff. It all started to change and reveal itself, my life from pattern to detail… all the information I get and all the impulses have a huge & positive impact on my mental health. As I start to heal the soil I start to heal my soul ❤ thank you Geoff and thanks to Bill

You and Bill are a treasure to the world. Creating change. You made a small creak turn into a flood of people making there own change to there land. And changing others minds on the benifets of what you teach.

3:56 You see the world through completely different eyes. There is a different framework of design that you see everything through. You’re literally seeing the way of creation itself!

Awesome Geoff! So true! Paradigm shifting!

8:30 I love body surfing in the ocean! And I equate birthing with surfing too… if you are relaxed and centered, you keep your balance and there is a joy and thrill of riding the wave. If you get distracted or are upset for any reason, your balance is off and you tumble under the wave.

very good promotion video for permaculture and life-in-balance. You are a great teacher and human being Geoff, I know that for sure as I am a current student of the PDC 2024 online course. Good idea to work with Weedy as a camera man, he sure is a true professional.
