Hats off to the courageous young boy who faced a painful encounter with a blue bottle jellyfish, and a massive round of applause for the lifeguards who swiftly stepped in to provide assistance. Has anyone else been stung by a jellyfish before? 😨

I got smashed by a couple of blue bottles for the first time on the sunshine coast when I was 14, one on the leg and the other around my stomach. It was truly the most painful thing I had ever experienced and I really felt for that little bloke.

Hearing the first kid in so much pain is a bit stressful. I wanted to help him, but I knew I couldn't. I'm glad he and Noah (Singlets' kid) were okay in the end.

I was stung by a jellyfish last year. It was the most painful thing I’ve ever experienced in my life. It was a sea neattle jellyfish, so it wasn’t as bad as a blue bottle. But I did end up having a small seizure because I was screaming in pain and horror It was terrifying for everyone, especially my dad (which who I was on the trip to North Carolina with). Im ok now but I have a scar and will for the rest of my life.

This was extremely difficult to watch. I got a nephew this age and I could not handle seeing him in this amount of pain. That poor kid. Hell I can’t imagine how his father felt being there and unable to help.

Now this is why I never go into the ocean too deep, I go to beaches that have absolutely no jellyfish. If I even saw one a mile away I’m staying on the sand for the whole day and just splash my toes with water. I got stung by a normal and boy it was painful. I can’t handle what this boy is going through, hope you feel better ❤️‍🩹

When the little guy said “daddy? Daddy’?” And his dad started to faint, I felt that.

Wow I was surprised to hear that hot water is the best remedy for bluebottle stings, that used to be considered one of the old-fashioned remedies from 50 years ago.
Not sure why the lifeguards didn't offer the boy the maximum allowable paracetamol dose right from the get-go, given that they are authorised to use the "whistle", which I imagine is a restricted and scheduled drug.

2:sharks
3:other stuff like crabs 🦀
4:I GOT STABBED IN THE FOOT BECAUSE SOMEONE LITTERED GLASS (bone chipped)
5:SAND GETS EVERY WERE

I’ve been stung by Man o war when I was 6. Got stung between my fingers. Ever since that day, I never go in the ocean when there’s Portuguese Man O Wars or any other jellyfish present. I don’t want to go through that experience ever again.
