😥 Hopefully I can get past this.

Forcing myself into an uncomfortable situation on two wheels. I really want to enjoy off road riding, but there is still a nagging uncertainty in the back of my mind that makes me just feel stiff and cautious. IDK if I need more friends to ride with, or just more experience. Either way I know this is something I need to improve on.

You're helping others get out of their comfort zone! And something to remember about riding other bikes versus riding Harleys. Sonny Barger (H.A.) said "If we were smart, we'd all be riding Hondas"

Most of us don't care what you're riding, we don't watch it for her 2 wheels we watch it for you. You're unique and it's fun watching you having a good time (okay, sometimes not so good) but we're with you. Ride on, Jess, maybe I'll see you on the road (okay, pretty unlikely).

I hear ya Jess, it always seems like riding offroad is more stressful than fun when people are just starting to learn. But it quickly turns to a blast when you get into it.

Also, I dig the Himalayan videos!

I have a few acers on a very nice creek. I've often wondered about offering it to bikers just passing through that needed a place to camp overnight for free. I think it's a great concept.

Jess, you are one of the main reasons I got back into riding again, and with an entirely different mindset that allows me to enjoy what I’m doing and not be too concerned about everything else going on in my life. That stuff will still be there when I’m done riding. I don’t plan on getting an off-road bike, dirt bike, or ADV bike. I’m extremely happy with my Indian Challenger, and I recently got a trike so the wife will be more comfortable riding with me. It’s awesome experiencing rides with someone, especially my wife. That being said, I love to watch your videos regardless whether you’re on Appa or your Himalayan. I personally think, regardless of statistics, you’re having a tremendous impact on your viewers. Especially me. I may never get to go to many of the places you do and see what you see, but I definitely enjoy them through your lens. Thank you for doing what you do.

My most favorite video yet. I feel exactly like your talking. I am silo rider always apprehensive but adventurous also. Sturgis rebuilding was spot on.
Keep it up Jess

Do you Jess, your content is all good. Will keep up with you no matter what two wheels you're on.😉🏍 It's all about the journey.

I love the ADV content! There is a line that once your comfort level gets past, the fun and solitude of off road/gravel riding is so addictive and enjoyable. Definitely work on getting your bike setup properly for you, but past that just diving in and doing things scared is what has helped me most. I'm still pretty terrible alot of the time, but I'm at a point where I can talk myself into trying most things on my big super tenere... at least once, haha. The big group adv rides are such a stress reliever as you can try tough things surrounded by helpers, spotters, and bike rescuers. 10 people to help you get out of whatever crazy situation youre now in. Keep pushing, I'm finding often the best fun is outside of our comfort zone alot of the times.

Absolutely love the Himalayan ❤ UK based so I’m not fussed what you ride.
I love the new classic styles of bike.
I’ve only been riding 3 months, and once I have my full license I’m either heading for a Royal Enfield Hunter or a Triumph Street Twin 😊
Honestly I feel you with the speeds, my Fat Sabbath only makes 60mph if the wind is right 😂 and drivers get so impatient!

I love my Himi too (Ruby)! I also still have to push myself to go out alone without my husband. I know exactly how you feel. You have encouraged me to get out there on my own (and on a bit of dirt as well!). love from a Brit in Germany.

I noticed a lot of stress when I started riding dirt and I had been riding pavement for decades. This is totally normal. I also note that my risk assessment is *much* more conservative when I ride solo than when I am with a group. While I carry an InReach, the goal is *not* to use it. Stay the course and I think you'll come to more enjoyment as you learn. Growth & learning are not comfortable places.

Jess, you just keep on doing your thing, on any two wheels or even off two wheels. I enjoy listening to the conversation you have with yourself and your viewers.

Glad you're out getting more experience on the Himalayan. It looks like such a fun bike to ride. I don't care what type you ride or how many wheels it has. I watch your videos regardless. Have an awesome weekend!

Thanks for sharing Jess! Have not been offroad on two wheels, but used to ride three wheelers back in the day. I'd say do what gives you joy - I enjoy the Himalayan videos and your life commentary no matter what your riding! Cheers.

I like someone that just enjoys the ride. It doesn’t matter what you ride as long as you enjoy your ride.

Love the Himalayan. Ride as many different styles and brands of bike as you want!

I for one watch your videos for your content, as I am living life too. What motorcycle you’re riding does not make a difference to me watching or not. You have something to offer that goes beyond what motorcycle you are on and that is a real person.
