Bomb Found Near School! Bomb Squad Shocked Divers Found Dangerous Explosives!

I went scuba diving for lost treasures with @exploringwithnug and @depthsofhistory under an old bridge near a school with tons of history and we found several explosives including a ww2 mortar bomb, a couple anti tank artillery rounds, and a pipe bomb! We had to call the police who ended up calling the fire department and bomb squad to come out. The news also came out which was crazy! Follow me👇👇👇

Pro tip, next time don't bring it so close to the road. If your not going to leave it where you found it then don't take it any further than the edge of the water way and don't pull it out of the water incase the components decide they want to react with air.

As much as they knew it was most likely nothing and harmless, they also definitely appreciated the call. It warrants them a full response 'training' to stay current in an actual bomb threat situation. Great job!

reason everyone responds, it a non-emergency explosive device they use to train, for the day when it is an emergency

morter was NOT i say again NOT live. the hole at the top is for the fuze which screws in to it. since the fuze isnt there its not live. HOWEVER it still has explosives in it and you should never handle unknown explosives let alone very old explosives as they can be unreliable when old and decaying. never handle or move explosives unless they directly threaten passers by

If you find old munitions like that in water it is best to leave them underwater until they can be disposed of, some components can react rather violently when they begin to dry out after long periods of being submerged

That bottle looks like an old “Tab” bottle. Not even sure if Coca Cola even has that line anymore. I’ve seen that style bottle since about he 70’s. Probably worth a little bit to the right collectors.
