Hi my name is Dr. Dallin LeGrand Peterson but my patients just call me Dr. LeGrand and I have ADHD and Dyslexia. Growing up with ADHD and Dyslexia was definitely a challenge for me in the academic world. But along the way I learned a lot about how to use my ADHD as a SUPERPOWER! I work with a lot of adults with ADHD and parents that have kids with ADHD.

This Channel is designated to help adults and parents who have kids with ADHD, anxiety and depression. I share my strategies that I have learned for myself to get through medical school successfully and the strategies I have used to help my patients to reach optimal mind performance.

I'm hyper thinking. Always. Thinkthinkthink...voraciously looking for reading/learning/interesting content. But the brakes are always on for things I 'should' do.

Spot on. I experience the hyperfocus/no motivation/depression version.
It's extremely hard for those around me to understand. For example. My boyfriend feels hurt and disregarded by me. He will say, "I asked you to clean the table off. Instead, you took the dogs out and went looking for beach rocks for 4 hours. You obviously don't care what I say. " 😭

Because of this I've actually been paranoid that I'm bipolar multiple times 😭 I usually talk myself down by watching videos about bipolar people 😅

As a young adult, I ran on stress induced adrenaline 20-24hrs a day, having anxiety and depression. Mid 30’s burned out and have had no energy past 15 yrs. Now live in a rural area, feel better, but hesitant I could find appropriate help out here and dread making an appointment with anyone

I wish this was more widely addressed. I've tried looking into tons of other fatigue related symptoms that are more widely known, like adrenal fatigue syndrome etc. It's not that severe to be called a separate disorder, but I'm constantly exhausted and run on low energy. Like, I'd do 3 tasks a day, and then my energy tank is empty.

I hate it so much lol, it feels like I’m bipolar but it’s just my adhd… when I’m happy I’m happy and when something ruins that I get extremely sad even depressed… I also second myself. When I’m neutral I can’t stay as focused but because it’s so unregulated eventually that focus will be gone because I use it up too quickly

Omg 😱 I have moments where I’m energetic and moments where I’m just lazy, not wanting to do nothing like today. Personally I was in the bed just about the majority of the day watching YouTube 🙃. Now my dad said I wasn’t hyperactive, but I had a lot of energy and I still see this play out in life, but when I’m bored or overwhelmed with too much stimuli, like too much data, I can check out, meaning I may tune out or shut down and not wanna do nothing or I would find some form of distraction even if it’s just mentally. So I was diagnosed as having combined adhd, but I’m wondering if that means one is exactly how I’ve described myself, energetic at times, but low energy and lack of motivation at others? I also talk a lot

This is me. I've been taking Adderall for over 20 years and a doctor just cut me off. I'm very worried that I'm just going to stay in bed all the time and sleep.
