How to burn a sage smudging stick is a video made by us at Green Daun to show first-time users how it can be done with a match or even a lighter.

In this smudging video, we use an extra-long match to light up the tip of the seven chakra sage bundle.

𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐓𝐨 𝐁𝐮𝐫𝐧 𝐀 𝐒𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐒𝐦𝐮𝐝𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐤?

This works for just about any type of white sage bundle and for this video, we randomly used a 7-chakra White Sage bundle. If you notice that we angle the sage bundle at 45 degrees so it lights properly.

After the fire burns for about 10-seconds, put it out, and you will start to see the white smoke. This is when you start your smudging and cleansing process in your room, house or space.

Before you start smudging, make sure you open all doors and windows so that whatever you are cleansing has an outlet to leave.

Start from your main door, walking clockwise around your space and by the walls. Let the smoke do the cleansing while you can chant a mantra, say a prayer or just by having positive cleansing thoughts when doing this.

It is also recommended that you do this is the day time, and you can do this as many times as possible. Even when you feel a shift of energy in your space, just cleanse it.

Always practice safety when cleansing a space, make sure you have a fire-proof container or abalone shell to catch or collect the ashes. And do not cleanse if there are infants, children or people with asthma or breathing difficulties.
