AMD Ryzen 3 1200 - OVERCLOCKED to 4GHz!

As promised, I'm going to try my luck with overclocking the Ryzen 3 1200 to 4GHz. How much better does it perform now?

I bought this CPU new in august of this year as part of a combo. Overclocked to 3925Mhz @1.325v. Idle - 35c, Max under load - 60c. Using a Phanteks PH-TC12DX for cooling.

I would like to know about your GTA5 experience in more detail.

My experience in GTA5 with the Ryzen 3 1200 was that it could not keep up. When driving fast cars, the city could not be loaded fast enough resulting in driving into the void of unloaded Los Santos. My GTX 780 was not fully utilized while my CPU was at 100%. I am hoping that overclocking will fix this issue, or at least reduce it's effect.

Just got a 1300X for £75 that I hope to OC to 4.0GHz using the 2700X stock cooler 😂 Will be a beastly 1440p gaming rig. Wish more people knew how good these CPUs are.

I would have liked to see the minimums, because the perfomance is already good enough for a 60hz monitor even at stock, but getting it to 4ghz might make the games run much smoother.

Have 4.0 OC at 1.4000v stable (OCCT stress test 3 hour). For 3.9 OC need 1.28750v. Standard voltage 3.7 OC.

I have my Ryzen 3 1200 clocked at 4.1 using a MasterLiquid 240. For Single core gaming runs almost as fast as Intel 7600K

How did you get this thing to safely overclock to 4GHz? I'm using this very same processor on the Asus Prime B350M-E motherboard. And I am also using the stock cooler that came with it. And I have the fan speed maxed out on it.

I could only get my ryzen 3 1200 on an itx board with the wraith stealth cooler on 3.69 ghz (no pun intended lol) at a 1.750 voltage. How can I increase this? It's in the silverstone sugo sg13 on a 550 watt psu with a wraith stealth cooler and b450 ryzen itx motherboard from asrock.

Low, ultra doesn't matter, 30-50 fps and my ryzen 3 1200 3.8 ghz loaded 100%
why on your bench we can see more than 60 fps, how?

I'm wondering what the difference is between the R3 1200 @ 3.8Ghz with 2400MHz RAM vs same with 3200 MHz RAM. Did you have to put in the faster RAM to push the CPU that high? Mine is a little over 3.8 with the 2400MHz and not settled on whether faster RAM is worth the cost. I'm not sure either if I'd be comfortable pushing the CPU to 4GHz on my B350. Even though it's doing well at < 1.2v.
