UPDATE - according to stealth40k on twitter - According to the My Nintendo UK Store, Switch 2 Edition games include both the Switch 1 game and the upgrade pack on a single game card.

Really hoping the tariff situation doesn’t result in an increase of the price. I’m honestly okay with prices being where they are at for the console. Wish they were lower for games but I can understand it. All it means is that I will be waiting for sales on 3rd party games and only investing money on 1st party games I know I would put a lot of time into.

According to Nintendo Prime, he actually reached to Nintendo UK and they confirmed that Nintendo Switch 2 Edition physical games WILL be on a single cart with additional content already on the cart. No download necessary. Only those with an already purchased switch 1 version will just upgrade digitally.

I hope the price doesn't go up. Unlike most...I see no issue with the console price. Also, 50 for the Mario kart game if u get it in the bundle is a fair price too. Dont think I'll get DK for 70 tho. The upgrades seem to be 10 bucks. Also, so many ppl hate the game key card thing and don't seem to understand this is better than switch 1 at least. This way u can actually still trade that game in. The game key card is what's important. Id prefer full game on cart of course but this is at least better than a box with a code that has zero trade value the moment u buy it.

You can run with the $90 games cause of tax. I live in NYC and if I wanted Mario Kart World I would be paying $88 and change after tax.

Games effectively got 10 dollars more expensive, 20 dollar if you insist on physical releases and people are blowing up 😂

I see it this way: I got 400 hours on Smash and 50 hours on Mario Kart. Compared to going out with friends for 30 dollars a time, those games gave me such higher value. Gaming is actually cheap, if you consider the value you get + we have our old library available unlike back how Switch plaxer can't play Wii or Wii U games.

Also, these price changes don't affect current 3rd Party software. Street Fighter 6 costs 60 dollars and looks better than on an XBox Series S (due to AI Upscaling)

If you can't afford or tolerate, just don't buy. With enough of you, prices will drop eventually, they'd make a lot more by selling a lot for cheap than a little for overpriced

I'm so mad that here in Europe my country the Switch 2 cost €589 even higher price than a PS5 has at the launch and games cost €80-€90 what's just INSANE! Should I wait for the Black Friday or even the next year if the prices goes down? And would Trump's customs strike for the Switch 2 shipping aroubd the World? I believe not because the Switch 2 is from Japan Nintendo, but I agree why the Switch 2 and games like Mario Kart World cost that much because there's an inflation and the trade war what's so sad how bad the World looks right now! 😢
