In this video, I explain how linear regression is used to make predictions in data that is linearly correlated. The regression line, which is the line of best fit, models the linear relationship of the variables. Making predictions based on values within the given range of data is called interpolation, and making predictions outside of the range of data is called extrapolation, which is much less reliable. It is also possible to code non-linear data using logs, such that the coded data can now be plotted with a regression line.
