I’m laughing. I just finished ordering the removal tool.
I really want to get started with this project and I do not want to damage the flange.
I’m going to start with chasing out the ignition switch, (my steering wheel is in the locked Position.) key turns, car starts. I know, crazy huh? (14pin) If that fails, then the lock cylinder . I just don’t want to throw money at it arbitrarily.
Thanks again, I appreciate your posting the video ❤
edit: 1998 SL500 AMG (sport package) . Calm down you amg freaks. I have the original manual.

HI EVERYONE.
When your ignition switch is not working and you change it, do you need to code a new key? Or revise your key to it?

Is this model specific please? I have a W209 CLK, and have been advised elsewhere that I need to remove the entire dash cluster in order to access the EIS
