It's only the controller-chip which get warm and need cooling, not the nand-chips. So yes, you only need the small heat-pad.

because of RGB lights on ssd does this enclosure fit on this "xpg s40g 512gb rgb 3d nand pcie gen3x4 nvme 1.3 m.2 2280 internal ssd " Model ?

how is it nvme and only shows speed upto 439 MB/s ? Even though the adapter supports 10 Gbps, it should at least saturate the link as the ssd you're using goes upto 3500 MB/s. Either the adapter is 5 Gbps or there's something wrong.

Did you connect it on the USB 3.0 or USB 3.1 Gen2 port? Because it seems like you connected it on the USB 2.0 port. This is not the real speed of this. Try to connect it on a USB 3.0 or USB 3.1 Gen2 USB port, I assure you it will give more transfer speed. More that 450 MB/s. I told you this because I know about this.

Don't put an NVME SSD in one of these little boxes if you plan on using it at all. They don't disappate the heat well enough. Manufaturers found this out quick enough and they are now produced with little fans inside and work 5 times better.
