Yes you can put on the CS charm, drop the 2 ranks of Agi or Flayer and gain the 3 2 slots back, the issue is you then only have Resentment or Peak Performance left neither of which are good reliable raw here but its certainly do-able if you'd rather PP, you gain +6 Raw over Agi 2 at the cost of having to play perfectly on full health.

IMPORTANT NOTE: With Focus 2 on the greatsword, instead of doing a lvl 0 strong charge slash for your followup, you can pull off a full lvl 3 charged offset attack within the Crit Draw grace period so long as you enter the input for the attack while you're still in the draw attack animation and release immediately after you get the full charge.

Not only is this stronger than a lvl 0 strong charge slash, it gives you good odds of pulling off an offset attack, as the monster will probably be winding up for its own attack.

Finally, we have our crit draw build for Wilds! My only change would be using counterstrike as the charm, since it gives all three levels and frees up Deco slots on the armor more efficiently.

Been playing crit draw since mh3 ultimate. It's literally the best build for turning your brain off. You're sheathing very often so you usually have full mobility and access to items without sacrificing all that much damage.
I'm still sad that jumping attack from the seikret didn't count as a draw tho.

I love crit draw in this game! Found that another viable but slightly different playstyle is to run the xu wu gs. It has only 220 raw but comes with white sharpness, 0 affinity and built in crit draw 3. Can easily fit max crit boost and some focus in the slots. Another strat I found is running peak performance + agitator instead of adrenaline rush. You get less damage overall, but by running vitality mantle anything you tackle heals up really fast and it’s a lot more comfy. Since you have affinity from agitator it frees up space (depending on your weapon and overall build of course) to not need all three levels of crit draw as you can easily hit max affinity with only 1 or 2 levels and some change, meaning you have more room for either crit boost, focus, handicraft etc.. Also means you don’t need to be as lucky with deco draws to get a decent build. Was hitting 700s on water weak monsters but considering how safe this strategy is and the fact you could use an even stronger gs (g. Arkveld is another really good option) I would definitely say it’s viable against the main 6 monsters while being a fun alternative to standard Gs play.

I love the non meta builds and would love to see more. I've been having so much fun with my sleep and wake up build using the sleep artian dual blades and switching to great sword for a big hit. Playing with friends the other night I put Arkveld to sleep 6 times in less than 10 minutes. Just the joy of setting up all the mega barrel bombs and walking it up over and over again is so good

Crit Draw Great Sword is perhaps my second most loved playstyle for GS and now I indulge in this build and draw attack monster really, really hard

Prinvrilo's Dissolution is another good candidate for a Crit Draw build if you want to squeeze in more QoL Decos.

With Focus 3 you can full charge level 1 charge and then full charge rising slash charge. Both hits would have 100% crit rate, more damaging combo and you can offset with it.

I think the artian weapons with the three slot, three gems out classes and outperforms the dog GS. you just benefit more by having those slots. Mr. cloud managed to squeeze out punishing draw 3 handicraft, focus 3 slugger 1, draw 3 on an Artian greatsword on his build and literally I see how much faster hunts are with that extra knockout or two. I think that extra dps phase is much more worth it.

I’ve using GS since psp era and the crit draw tactics with quick shealth is still something i use in world, iceborne, rise and wild. I felt like is much easier to pull off a first full charge than trying to quickly get into that true strike.

A different set you could consider for this is the xu wu set. It‘s set bonus (protein fiend) will give you 25 raw for two minutes after consuming a well done steak. You cann still fit all of the skills but get up to constitution 4 and quick sheathe 3 ( using a rathalos mail). 20% Crit you would get back through maximum might level 2. You should end up with 10 raw more using this set up if i am not mistaken! Dont know if its really worth it, but i never see this set bonus talked about.

if you dont have a talisman in mind, switch it to counterstrike and than use your jewel space to finish of evade window and put extra stuff
