Doctor Who 60th & Series 14 'LEAKS' (Are They Fake?)

We're talking about a massive Doctor Who leak that I found on Reddit. Now, the big question on everyone's mind is: are leaks on Reddit reliable? Well, the answer is usually no. But in the case of Doctor Who, they have been right in the past. So, let's dive into this leak and see what we can make of it.

So, this Reddit user claims to work at Bad Wolf and knows some inside information about the whole Disney and BBC deal, as well as the future of the Doctor Who franchise. The post is titled "The Future of the Franchise" and it's a massive read. But don't worry, I'm not going to read it all out to you. I'll just give you the dot points and the juicy bits.

First of all, the 60th anniversary special will consist of three episodes. The first will be a loose adaptation of "The Star Beast." The second will be a standard episode featuring Donna and Wolf. And the third will have Donna and Wolf as companions fighting the Valeyard. The specials will also feature the return of Susan Foreman, Mel Bush, and Kate Stewart.

Now, we already know that the 60th anniversary will consist of three episodes, so that's nothing new. But the fact that the first episode will be a loose adaptation of "The Star Beast" is interesting. "Doctor Who and the Star Beast" was a Fourth Doctor comic that featured the Meep, who we know will be in the 60th anniversary. It will also feature the Wraith Warriors, or is it the Wrath Warriors? I'm not sure how to say it, so if someone in the comments could correct me, that would be great. Anyway, I believe that the first episode will focus on the Meep because that's what we've seen from the promotional material. And as for the third episode, I don't think Neil Patrick Harris will be playing the Valeyard. It's more likely that he'll be playing the Celestial Toymaker, based on hints and rumours from the filming.

In terms of classic companions returning, it's heavily rumoured that Susan Foreman will be in the episode. As for Mel Bush, I think she was mentioned in some of the filming, and you can hear David Tennant say something about her. And of course, we know that Kate Stewart will be back for Series 14, but I hope she'll also be in the 60th anniversary special. We know that UNIT is involved because of the UNIT helipad that we've seen in filming. So, that's all very exciting.

Moving on to Series 14 and 15, the leak claims that Peter Dobson will play Mrs. Flood, a villain who will torment Ruby in the Christmas special and throughout episodes 5 and 8 of Series 14. Now, we already knew that Anita Dobson was going to be in the Christmas special, but we didn't know who she was playing. In an interview, she let slip that she'll be playing Ruby's next-door neighbour, but this leak claims that she'll be the main villain. It's unclear how big her role will actually be, but the idea of a next-door neighbour as a villain is very Doctor Who.

According to the leak, the show will use a live feature on Disney+ to prevent spoilers. The platform will also have a hub section similar to Marvel, where all 39 seasons of Doctor Who and its spin-offs will be available. Now, this seems like a pretty safe bet, but it's still exciting to think about. I hope that by the time of the 60th anniversary

RTD said that he didn't show anything from Episode 2 and if he could, he wouldn't show anything on it up until it airs - which to me makes it seem like not just a "standard episode". It's the 60th for crying out loud!

He is playing the meta crisis Doctor hence the age difference and the clothes change during regeneration. He is linked with Donna telepathically and sensed she was in danger so he performed a biological Swap with the doctor at the point of regeneration as it was the only way to cross over from Pete’s World. Absorbed the regeneration Energy to keep himself alive after travelling through the void unprotected But suffered memory loss. Swapped places with the real 14th Doctor Ncuti Gatwa Who is stuck in Pete’s World with Rose.

I think it makes sense if Mel Bush is in it as it would seem odd to bring her back for the first time in such a tiny way in that end scene. Also be good to see Susan back as well. Be interesting to see how they address the whole granddaughter thing.

steven moffat probably will only return for series 15, to write a clara episode similar to school reunion with sarah jane, but the difference is that clara still has adventures as a "female doctor", and doesnt return to her normal life, because she will die in trap street when she goes back, will be very interesting, an episode like that maybe a two parter, maybe, ashildr/me left clara off-screen i think, if this leak, my leak is real

It makes more sense for NPH to be playing the Trickster as a) he’s an RTD creation and b) he has a strong tie to Donna’s character arc and probably has abilities that would allow things like Ten/Fourteen’s return. Valeyard might be too tricky to pull off after recent retcons to the Doctor. I think having Susan back is only fair given Ian got a cameo last year.

Susan, finally! Carole Ann Ford is 82 so nice to have her back as she's not getting any younger! I know she did some audios with Paul McGann but nice to see her in the flesh too. If the final story is a Valyard one, I'd imagine it'd be David playing him.... with hints of a darker side shown in the first two stories. Maybe a revelation that the previous stories didn't unfold the way they seemed.

okay, nah this is compiled from other leaks and then making it up. We literally know that they didn’t film as much as they wanted with Bernard. there’s no way that he’s a companion level character in each special. he likley us 5 minutes in the first, maybe a moment in the third

To me the valleyard does feel more Neil Patrick Harris cause his revival out was similar to the valleyard from after the doctor entered the matrix in season 23 trial of a timelord so I will only believe he is the valleyard until his appearance in the specials

I say it's mostly true, the spin-offs were also confirmed. Note all Doctor Who content will be on BBC iPlayer in the UK and Disney plus outside the the UK. Moffat has confirmed he is back to write an episode

Nobody's talking about In doctor who magazine Russell said months back one of his first interviews back he mentioned an episode will be set in the US in the 1950s. I have seen a few suggest it might be set in Nirvada Area 51
