I was about to get mad about the fact that they said a European sword was from Japan, but then I remembered that this is the Onion. Clearly I must have been misinformed about where that style of sword originated.

This is a legit sharpening technique, in surprised they've shared this actually.

Well now you know, your parents would appreciate you sharpening all of their knives in the kitchen - it's something adults rarely get around to doing so I'm sure they'll be so pleased with your help.


Just do exactly as the video shows - it might not feel really sharp straight away but that's normal, the blade just needs to settle and then it will be like new!
