The Board of Water Supply said the costs of shutting down the Halawa Shaft, adding monitoring instruments and other implementations in the wake of the Red Hill drinking water crisis comes at the cost of rate payers and they have filed a claim with the Navy to recover those costs.

Sad reality is that ratepayers will continue to be the ones on the hook. Even if the Navy were to fess up and agree it was their fault, it'll takes years to actually get the money.

they need to send a bill for 4 times that amount. how many people have been poisoned. will the water ever be usable again. they are going to build a new system and monitor everyone effected.
