We've been reporting on the coronavirus vaccine conspiracy theories that have been circulating on social media including Facebook and TikTok. But who is behind them?

In this #shorts video the BBC's specialist disinformation reporter Marianna Spring explains that there are people who are against vaccinations - they're known as 'anti-vaxxers' - and are part of the anti-vaccination movement.

Whilst some people might simply be a bit unsure about whether or not they want a vaccine, or have genuine questions around safety and side effects, the anti-vaccination movement spreads very extreme claims. One of their claims is that “vaccines contain microchips in order to track everyone who takes them”.

There are now at least 13 different vaccines being administered around the world for Covid-19.
