I have a 2000 RAV4 automatic, it's tired and never had any power. I need to know if there are any performance engine swaps for an automatic or if I'm just going to have to abandon it all together. Not putting a large amount into a 22 yr old RAV4. I may end up just putting a Honda motor & tranny in it. Don't get me wrong, but I have a bad hip, I love my Rav. Toyota doesn't have much support other than replacement in kind, but with Honda you can cobble together different engines make huge power gains for $1000 or less ...hell I may even cut the damn front end off and put a junk yard LS in if I have to.

great vid man, do you think you can swap these on a 2002 auto awd rav4? convert it to manual or just use an auto? I would preffer to keep it auto for daily purposes but manual doesn't bother me at all
