Original demo recording.

The final movement represents the whirlwind that returns Hatim to his Princess. It's a perfect canon, where one piano exactly follows the other after four bars, each bar being a seven-beat pattern in (written as a 21/16 time sign). Significantly for its link to the Arthurian romances, The Bath Badgerd ends with not with Hatim at-Tai's betrothal to Husn Banu, but his return to his native Yemen where he becomes King. To this day his name carries an Arthurian resonance in the Muslim world.
