Oh I love them a Filipino lady I worked with showed me how to make lumpia and those banana lumpia, this was in 2010, to this day I make them both and ship at the Filipino mkt every few weeks to get my sweet rice(I always forget the name it's purple and green n then the regular one with the toasted coconut topping) and my pork buns. I literally love the banana lumpia. I never did it with the chocolate.

Just like Indonesian dessert, we called it piscok (pisang cokelat)
Pisang means banana and cokelat is chocolate. So yummy

we have been selling turon for decades, 50 to a hundred pieces per day.

Our product is deep-fried in "talyasi" to ensure its well-cooked or else the banana inside will be partly cooked.
Also, we don't double wrap, it makes the turon hard to chew when its no longer hot.
Instead we use the large size lumpia wrapper & carefully roll it with right technique .
We roll the banana in brown sugar & arrange in the wrapper.
No more adding of sugar before they're finally cooked.
We don't want our turon to be too sweet.
