This Kucharov interview had more balls and character then the whole Leafs roster combined.

I can only imagine how many people stop listening to this show because that lady is insufferable

That's just some old time hockey, like Eddie Shore, right there. Eh? I found it wonderfully refreshing to see a guy who was genuinely thrilled to have just won the Stanley Cup, behaving like a guy who was genuinely thrilled to have just won the Championship. Sports have become far to full of there own self importance. Money and words like analytics and demographics have tampered with what makes sport of any kind interesting to watch. His joy on display here is the reason why sports might still have some value to humanity. The joy of winning. And for a brief moment being considered the best. Why else is it important that grown men skate around on ice, and Chase a little piece of vulcanized rubber for 60 minutes? It's not at all important in the grand scheme of things. It's absolutely rediculous that anyone is payed millions of dollars to do what he does. But the fact that this video shows that Nikita Kucherov would still be playing his heart out and would have been this happy if he had just Won first place in the Sascatchawon beer Leauge finals as he is winning the Stanley Cup, shows that there are still guys out there playing for the love of the game.

Compared to the old days when Bruins were climbing into the stands to fight fans with Grapes coaching behind the bench this was pretty mundane. The league can use some personalities like this to stoke fan bases and create passionate rivalries. it's great entertainment and sparks ticket sales and TV ratings. Kooch didn't even lick anyone else. :)

A little thrash talk, why not? This guy deserves to have some fun. Don't be too serious.

I don’t get why people can’t make the connection that kucherov wasn’t talking shit about the habs fans in the arena, he’s talking shit about the fans outside the arena that had to get broken up by riot squads after they won a single game in the cup final and we’re still down 3-1...

Detroit here. Pretty harmless. Especially since he just won the cup. Furthermore, the BS that goes on the ice is what people should get concerned over; stick work, high sticking, unsportsmanlike after the whistle.

We need more tell it like it is. Everyone is so scared to offend and make people upset. Who cares. Let people have their opinion.

What he said wasn't even that bad . It's just some Montreal fans are mad about losing and this is the scape goat to use to channel that anger at right now

The guy just won back to back cups, getting drunk live, and somehow wearing no shirt is disrespectful? Come on guys. The NHL needs more personality like this and if you’re gonna piss and moan like that the game won’t grow.

I honestly didn't mind this too much. Normally this stuff bugs me but the guys overjoyed, getting a good buzz on. Wouldn't we all be a little lose lipped and whooping it up? Although I'd probably have a shirt on but if I was in this position as an athlete I'd be in shape and not a fatass so maybe I wouldn't have a shirt on lol.

And you wonder why you Canadian’s have a harder time attracting free agents/stars… relax, this was refreshing and entertaining.

Kooch delivered up some top shelf entertainment with that interview.

As a habs fan it does not bug me in the slightest, I highly doubt he was drunk on a few bud lights, maybe a few lines.... but either way its just someone shooting their mouth off because he has a bunch to listen to him. He would understand if he played for a Canadian team why the fans react the way they do, we love the game up here, he plays in a place where nobody really cares win or lose, if the bolts drop the series he has to answer 2 or 3 tough questions and take the summer off, meanwhile the guys at the other end of the ice come up short in the series and will come home to cheering fans. It is what it is, they get to live and play with only 20%of the scrutiny of the guys who play in Canada, but the price is they will never get that high of winning where it really matters to the people who pay your check.

Oh stop your whining! It's a locker room interview what's he supposed to do put on a three-piece suit. If it would have been one of the Montreal canadiens you wouldn't feel the same.

This lady in the background is awful all the way around, her voice and her tone, and her opinions are just unbearable

I remember after a team winning the cup, interviews were done in the dressing room. Champagne flowing, everyone getting hammered, reporter's getting soaked.
Now a team wins, and it's like let's get a family pic with a kid in diapers crapping in the bowl.
If I happen to watch the final game now, I turn it off cause the celebration is pretty tame.

He was obviously on about the usual violent response of how the Habs fans reacted

They act that bad when the win FFS.They are the real embarrassment to the NHL, forget the dude necking beers while shirtless.

They were throwing bottles and stuff at the police and lighting fireworks in a populated city centre

WTF do blue lives not matter guys?

And of course we have to hear the usual Karen whimper "WHAT IF IT WAS A CANADIAN DOING THAT."

Why not mention that? Imagine if it was Russians tossing bottles at police

See how that works?
