The second way you can control swing is with your fingers.

Bowling the ball more with your index finger results in in swing and bowling the ball more with your model finger generated out swing.

Make sure your wrist position is neutral.

For outswing: put pressure on the ball with the middle finger and keep the index finger on the ball

I can do both in and out swing. I can do banana swing as it automatically for me when I bowl in-swing.
It depends on the ball grip and wrist position while releasing the ball.
In swing: hold ball in thumb and middle finger from middle. Keep index finger little away from seam. Do not use the force of index finger at all when releasing the ball. It is for the support only. Your wrist must release the ball with seam towards fine leg.
Your hand must go close to the head for in swing. If wrist is not releasing ball seam towards fine leg then ball will not swing as expected.
If this doesn’t work for you then do some changes with ball grip.
Some bowlers keep index and middle fingers on seams. Some give gap between both fingers. So it does vary bowler to bowler.
Out swing is natural for me. I’ll let you know the process in the reply if someone is interested.

You can check ball’s release and wrist position while releasing the ball while practicing the action without throwing ball.
Note: I haven’t tried this swing in Indian conditions. I am doing it in England. Cold, cloudy weather and heavy wind.
I didn’t roll the finger on the ball at the time of release as it slow down the my speed.
I learned seeing video of James Anderson.

And there must be at least one finger gap between ball and palm pit

You will notice that hand is going closely with the head for in swing and away for out swing.

Just release the bowl with your thumb you will feel your finger back spining the ball if pushwd the bowl towards batsman by back spin it it will come out and if you pushed the towards off side by back spinning it will come in for example james anderson
