This is so awesome! I didn't start listening to KROQ till the mid 80s when they had migrated to an all "alternative" format. This incarnation of KROQ is so refreshing mixing up contemporary non alternative tracks with some oldies but goodies. This should be the template for all top 40 radio stations but sadly they have all been consumed by soulless corporations and they majorly suck now. Thank God we still have college radio and internet radio.

CLASS of ‘83 here!

THANKS for putting this up!

This was during the golden age of KROQ.

Man, totally rememberJed the Fish, as well as Freddy Snakeskin, April, Rodney, etc

Those were great days!

I remember Jed the Fish saying he’s ‘Jedum Fishum’ and referring to Pasadena as ‘Pahsahdenah’ with his unique articulation.

He was great! All the Djs had such wonderfully unique strong personalities.

Those days rocked. I should’ve saved those KROQ magazines that they had for a short while. I think that was like in 82 or 83. It’s been a while. ;-)

Thanks again for putting this up!

I am known as the penguin boy. Totally forgot about that drop. As I recall that was heavily used by Freddy.

Not to be confused with current University of Arizona football head coach Jedd Fisch.
