It's simple PR campaign. Lebron's name is associated with winning, we literally call him “King James” and in order to keep that way they need to avoid showing or kinking him to a loss. I believe it's most likely a demand from the NBA itself since in our modern times Lebron is the face of the NBA. And that goose with every big name from any franchise. Because no one is going to pay to watch your big name losing
