Arcane Season 2 Finale Reaction / League of Legends Arcane Season 2 Act 3 Review. I am not a fan of how the Arcane Series Finale ended, except for Singed. Everyone knew Arcane Singed had the best arc, but that isn't enough to save Arcane Season 2 Episode 9 Ending. I wanted to give my Arcane Finale Reaction / Review to see how league of legends fans feel as well. League of Legends Arcane Ending Rant.

Actually, how Ekko gets nothing positive for being the selfless GOAT he is makes the Arcane finale even worse

No scene at the end where they stand at each others side in front of a sun rise and say "we are the league of legends" 0/10

vi and ekko didn't even talk once to each other the whole season. Like wtf

The true ending is everyone is alive. Piltover and zaun lives peacefully. Jayce said: maybe the arcane was the friends we made along the way. Sunset, everybody having huge party with meat while viktor conclude: we truly are league of legends

Bruh how many times does Warwick have to die for the fucking plot?

I know nothing about the lore but here is what i thought.
Making Jinx the symbol of resistance wasn't fleshed out at all but probably still the best part of the season.
Isha and Jinx's relationship was rushed and came out of nowhere.
Isha's sacrifice, while emotional, made no sense and was kind of pointless in the end. Letting the beast wreak havoc would've helped them more.

Caitlyn's motivation and goals change drasticly on a whim.

It was also hard to tell if Jayce was even the good guy in this season. He just swings/fires his hammer at everything he sees out of fear and seems to make things worse at times.
Were Viktor's ex-junkies happy? Did they have individual consciousness? How much of it was Viktors influence on their minds. He tried to help Vander but i didn't know how to feel about his little paradise, morally speaking. (at least he gave you a choice back then)

I liked it more when the use of magic was a metaphor for how innovation can be weaponized in our world. Something that happend all too often. Now it just turned into multiverse, time travel, followed by a weird hive mind thing. Peace through lack of individualism... really??!

Last but not least, the finale. Talk-no-jutsu followed by, villain who caused it wants to make it right, cliche. The time travel Viktor-magician reveal was both predictable and kind of nonsensical. Then again, i guess you get away with anything as long as you bring multiverse into a story. Waaaay overused nowadays.

Vi wanting some Caitlynussy over stopping Jinx from killing herself is what bothered me the most. Like it couldn’t have been THAT good to go and ignore your sibling you’ve been obsessed and protective for over a season and a half.

They tried to cram too much into 9 episodes. If they just took their time I feel like they could have made it so much better. The finale was a huge letdown.

As a LoL player the most disappointed thing in whole Arcane was Warwick. Imagine starting his character development in 2017 when his rework established his connection to Vi and Jinx, show him as human and father figure to them in 2021 when season 1 was released, then kill him and start generating hype about him turning into werewolf we have in game, give his incomplete transformation and reconcile all three (Vander, Vi and Jinx) for a moment in 2024 in season 2 and end it with killing him again, turning him into something that looks nothing like in the game and basically whole different character and kill him again at the end. There is not even a single scene where he looks like in the game.

9:00 the real problem with the sex scene was the fact jinx left to kill herself, and vi's like oh baby its been too long...if jinx was fine or agreed to help THEN it would have worked.

As someone who had little League knowledge, I still found the season to be all over the place. There were moments of great emotion and beautiful art. But most of the time, I found most of the characters to be so frustrating and the story somewhat disorienting. The finale left me feeling pretty indifferent, just wanted something better or more satisfying.

Seemed like Victors plot alone couldn’t been half a season, and season 2 felt more like fan service and way too much unfolding for the sake of story. Keep the relationship with Vi and Jinx going because that’s what made the show strong, but they really fleshed it out and made them less human and more roles to tell the story

I'm just gonna say it. That S e x scene was unnecessary, badly timed, and made me feel uncomfortable watching it, i feel like Vi doing it in her depressed sisters old jail cell just didn't sit right with me.

The funniest shit to me is Ambessa. If you don't play league and know nothing about it Ambessa was released as a playable character in game to promote Arcane. Not only that but they did everything to hype her up. She received:
- An animated music video
- A legendary skin on release (which is one of the cooler tiers of skins in-game)
- They announced a book about her, which is going to be released next year

All this hype for a character just to kill her a few weeks later

They rushed things out, it deserved a 3rd season or longer episodes

A big disapointment for me was Ambessa in the final chapter. Her plan didnt made any sense. So there is this already super powerful hexcore jesus victor. And viktor wants the to get to the hexgate to become even more powerful and to covert all humanty in his glorios evolution. Why would Ambessa help him with that? She cant be that stupid to belive that she can control him after he would have reached his goal.

The things I'd love to see in s 2:
- more of Sevika. I feel like the writers had something planned for her but changed their minds. After saving isha she either disappeared for a long time or was just there as a background character. Where's another fight with such a fancy arm?
- Sevika's and vi's interaction, at least about how they resolve their issue and decide to not be enemies anymore
- Jinx talking to isha's image for the last time like with silco. She doesn't mention the girl after her death. That's strange
- Jinx saving caitlyn before fighting "vander" in the last episode
- Jayce's and caitlyn's last interaction as old friends
- more of jayce and mel. They're a couple, common. They needed a proper goodbye. He made up with victor but couldn't have 1 dialogue with the woman thanks to which he achieved great things and saved the world? These 2 seem to have forgotten about each other
- at least 1 Ekko's and vi's interaction, especially after powder's death
- Jayce finding out about the fact ekko's responsible for the incident in his apartment
- ekko telling everyone about heimerdinger's sacrifice
- caitlyn apologizing to vi for shit she did to her
- singed should've died
- more of ekko and jinx in the original world. At least 1 convo or flashback of their childhood before the last fight
- more episodes. The last 5 are very rushed with so many characters, conflicts and plotlines. Either there should've been 15+ episodes in the season or make then season 3 about piltover and undercity preparing for a new war, fighting a common enemy and finally making peace after that
- the people jinx rescued from prison should've paid her back and helped her somehow

I'd like to believe that somewhere out there is a Directors cut where season 2 has 22 episodes all 1 hour long.

For me, this season ends on act 2. They could've ended the show with an open ending liked they did on season 1.
Hell even it would have been so much better to stretch 3 more episodes around the thematics of act 1 and 2.
Act 3 is totally pointless and feels rushed.

The major problem with season 2 is that it went from being so down to earth to becoming abstract with apocalypse and magic etc. This is wrong in itself. Promises and payoffs. The entire tone of Arcane is that it's practical and down to earth with hints of magic and larger concepts outside the story which also gives a feeling of a vast world.

They should have completely skipped the story around the anomaly and The Arcane. (I don’t care that it’s in the name). These are concepts and things that never get explained, are confusing, destroy already established lore and diminish the significance of other things while taking time away from other elements.

The story around the Black Rose could have been hinted at behind the scenes without having any major significance for Arcane's story. It should only be hints. Which could be developed in the next project about Noxus. It would give the feeling of a larger world without taking away Arcane's down-to-earth feeling. And it would have made the viewer interested in potential future projects.

What should the story have been about? The conflict between the two social classes! What the story was about in season 1 and what was built up to be expanded in season 2. The entire season 1 built up for the great conflict between Piltover and Zaun. And that's what the story should have focused on in season 2. With focus on the characters and their relationships as they need to deal with the harsh reality. That's what grips the viewer.

How would I have structured the story for season 2? With a great war and conflict between Piltover and Zaun that develops throughout the season to then get a heartbreaking and impactful ending to the story between the different characters we have followed, but still leaves the larger overarching story with the conflict between Piltover and Zaun open and active. This keeps the world open and alive with possibilities for all other stories that can take place with other characters in Piltover and Zaun, while still getting a clear ending to the current story that played out in Arcane.

What would that story have been? Okay, Jinx has just attacked the council and killed Caitlyn's mother and several leaders. Episodes 1-3 act 1 are perfect and build on this so nicely. The only change I would have made is that I would have skipped Isha completely. Instead, I would have dived deeper into Jinx's madness and instability that was so beautifully built up during season 1. I imagine Jinx really embracing the identity of Jinx and carrying out resistance against Piltover with full force through acts of terror and attacks. She's really a madwoman and villain, where her good side sometimes leaks through. These continued attacks from Jinx and some from the barons lead to Caitlyn becoming a dictator etc. I imagine that the hatred among Piltover's people should be through the roof. Especially if Jinx and people from Zaun carried out attacks and acts of terror that killed people in Piltover, maybe Jayce's mother too? This could pressure and force Jayce to use Hextech to equip the military. In other words, build on Jayce's hard side from season 1. Especially considering the anger he would feel after losing his mother. But also that he would likely have given up hope for peace considering they responded to the peace proposal with an act of terror in season 1 ep 9.

Piltover's cruel response against Zaun would create tensions in relationships. Vi would leave Cait in the same way because of a fight and to be with her people. She can have her full drinking/fighting period with the big police guy. But then maybe she teams up with the Firelights who try to help the population in Zaun and resist Jinx and the other actors who commit terror attacks against Piltover. She and the Firelights try to find a peaceful solution with well-meaning/peace-oriented people within Piltover. Meanwhile, Piltover's brutality against Zaun and Jinx's active counterattacks with acts of terror lead to the Jinx cult being created. The group that follows Jinx and also wants to resist. Much more reasonable that this group is created if Jinx is actually an active party attacking Piltover!

Then focus can also be on the Chem Barons. How these people and groups fight more directly against Piltover. Maybe we see the beginning of Renata Glass? In other words, Jinx and her followers stand for more chaotic resistance against Piltover with terror attacks and spontaneous attacks. While the barons represent Zaun's more structured resistance with troops and soldiers. Much better than just killing them off in some music videos.

When it comes to Jayce and Victor, I think their conflict could have become so much better in this story. First of all, the conflict begins with Jayce supporting Piltover and providing them with Hextech weapons. Victor survives and realizes how to use Hextech to survive and to help others. Help via Hextech as a technical invention, not as some magical Jesus thing. I envision how Victor leaves Jayce and Piltover due to the conflict created when Jayce supports the offensive against Zaun. Maybe Victor saves some people from Zaun, maybe some supporters of Jinx, by giving them robot parts improved via his new Hextech knowledge. Then it turns out that these robot parts/improvements were used by Jinx's supporters to carry out additional terror attacks against Piltover, maybe this is when Jayce's mother dies? In other words because Victor is to blame, which Jayce understands because he recognizes the technology from Victor. This would have been the perfect catalyst for Victor's conviction about the glorious evolution. Because he realizes that humans are flawed, both Jayce and those he saved use Hextech as weapons and are all completely wrong. Solution: to remove the human factor from his robot improvements. So Victor doesn't just turn body parts into more robots when he saves them. He makes their minds and feelings more robot-like with his technology, something he's already done to himself. Glorious evolution!
