My friend who was on the army said joining is a matter of which stars you care about.
The navy use stars to navigate
The army sleep under the stars
The marines salute the stars
The airforce use them to decide hotels

A bad day in the Marine Corps:
It's cold and rainy
You're in a foxhole
You're tired and wet,
You're being shot at

A bad day in the Air Force:
The cable's out!

Sounds like old joke:

How to Tell the Difference Between the Branches of the US Armed Forces!

If you give the command "SECURE THE BUILDING", here is what the different services would do:
The NAVY would turn out the lights and lock the doors.
The ARMY would surround the building with defensive fortifications, tanks and concertina wire.
The MARINE CORPS would assault the building, using overlapping fields of fire from all appropriate points on the perimeter.
The AIR FORCE would take out a three-year lease with an option to buy the building.

When my best friend went into the AF he said his Basic Training was easier than dealing with the idiots at his former job Target.

"The Army has a lot of idiots"
I think I'm qualified for the Army now.

My cousin was a pilot in the Air Force. He stated it was pretty easy. He didn't really like it when people would thank him for his service. He went over seas a few times, but said he was never in much danger. He was always 20, 000 feet in the air, so he didn't have a lot to worry about up there. He said it was the Marines and the Army that faced most of the danger. Air Force and Navy didn't have a lot to worry about. Those are his words, not mine. This video kind of lines up with what he said.

Of course in the Air Force they’re going to treat you like gold because after all you may be working on a $30 million airplane

I was in the Air Force (1978-82). I always had a good attitude because I knew that I had it good. I worked on aircraft, ate at a chow hall and slept in a barracks. Our lives weren't as luxurious as some jokingly make it out to be, but it wasn't nearly as difficult as it was for many other service members. They have my utmost respect.
