2023 BMW 7-Series ($96,695) in-depth Walkaround

BMW has launched a new generation of their flagship sedan, the 7-series, for the 2023 model year. While the new car retains much of the formula from its predecessor, including powertrain options such as a turbocharged inline-six and a twin-turbo V-8, there will also be a plug-in hybrid version added to the lineup later. The base engine is a mild hybrid V-8 with a size of 4.4 L, producing 536 hp at 5,200 rpm and 553 lb-ft of torque at 1,800 rpm. The car comes with an 8-speed shiftable automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.

In terms of dimensions, the 7-series is a large vehicle with a length of 212.2 inches and an overall width of 86.3 inches with mirrors. The car sits at a height of 60.8 inches and has a wheelbase of 126.6 inches. The cargo capacity with all seats in place is 13.7 cu. ft, while the maximum cargo capacity is the same. The car has a manufacturer 0-60 mph acceleration time of 4.1 seconds and a turning circle of 40.4 ft. The curb weight of the car is 5,095 lbs, with a maximum payload capacity of 1,124 lbs and a gross weight of 6,570 lbs.
