I got diagnosed with Schizotypal last year, Im 31yo. Schizotypal it changes with time. I mean, I was bastly different when I was 13yo, then being 18yo, 24yo, and now 31. The disconection from people and the world mostly happened to me because I never fitted in social groups (being shy, quiet, etc), and not having someone to guide me in life (like parents who understand how to guide me). I became odd, excentric, interested for magical stuff (A. Crowley, etc), arouns my 17s. Then it was all a snowball, lot of loneliness, ton of it, and I felt so disconected, like an observer, while eveyone else look like they were acting so natural in life, I was just feeling different to everyone. But then things changed, it took me a lot of analysis to make sense of the world and people, understand people, understand how to act. Nowadays I can say Im just another regular guy. So.. just that, Im introvertedz and I dont like people who are too much extroverted, and extroverted people doesnt like how calm I am, so thats a thing to deal with, but just that.

Excellent!!! What specific type of therapist is needed‼️‼️‼️

More awareness for this area is needed. Yes, treatment is difficult bc of trust issues. But training a person to cope is vital to have some kind of productive life ‼️

Please keep sharing any information. Is Adhd linked to this.

THANK YOU SO MUCH ‼️‼️‼️‼️

Hi, today 8/8/2024 ive just came across your video and I think you great! thank you!
What you have sead is mostly me to a T!

I was diagnosed with this years ago and 99% of what you sead is me! but how do we over come this?

1, I don't think i cause anything, and NOTHING on TV is directed to me that's being paranoid!

2, I have always been open to reason! I say to people ive got lots of dots in my mind (my knowledge) but I have difficulty connecting the dots until someone I talk to (when im mostly alone that's hard!) helps me connect the dots so to speak then I can move forward in that respect!

3, Unusual perceptions? Odd thinking? does that include, things i see in my mind like, machine parts moving and mechanical movements, basically, its like im an inventor and if I want to make something new im thinking of its like it appears in my mind and i see it, I can move it around in my mind and see how all the parts fit together and even how the individual parts are made etc etc and these things in my mind has NOT been invented yet and i can see all the parts needed to make it and see them moving if I want (in my mind) and normally i can and will make it! (I was designing and trying to patent the first Iphone years before it was made by apple! Forward thinking or what?)

4, Paranoid thinking and suspicious? 99% of the time I do, because MOST of the people ive got to know in my life has ether talked me into borrowing them money/things and I don't see them again or they threaten/bully me even if they don't know me? Or im talking to someone and im using PROPER ENGLISH and because they don't know the words or the context im coming from (say star trek speak which I presume everyone new, I mean I dident know deuterium was real until my cousin pointed it out it was a real substance!) then they will take the piss and In a group of people who don't know me or what im into, that is really hard! I think that was just anxiety or paranoia though?

5, Odd thinking or speech? As number 4 above?

6, Appearance? yeah I ware lots of clothes like id wear (not all the time) a t shirt then a shirt then a jumper then a coat in the summer and that is mostly because I like to look bigger then I am, im quite a skinny person!

7, No I don't have much family or friends, I never really new my dad he was never around (I think that was my moms fault) and he died in 2017, so ive only got my mom left and eveytime I talk to her we always get into arguments, ive never been able to talk to her about anything!

8, Social anxiety? Yeah everyone I talked to (in the mantle heath places) keep telling me to go out and meet people! and what you sead explains why every time I went to a gym when I finished id get more and more depressed and it should have had the opposite effect? It did not work for me!

oh and PS, im male and 51 years old and thank you mate, take care and have a fantastic day!

Thanks for this interesting video. My siblings and I suspect that our father may have schizotypal personality disorder. We know that there is no way he would ever go and see someone and probably would disagree with us. Can you point us in the direction of some tips on how to deal with a parent, who has this type of disorder?

Can schizotypical turn into full schizophrenia and if yes, how strong is the number in the clinical population and what it takes(as a trigger, like drugs use, stress…) to push it into full Schizophrenia? Can ketamine use in a therapeutic setting trigger schizophrenia in a schizotypical personality when targeting depression?
