Watching your old videos missing you already. I think all these heart shaped tomatoes were trying to tell you just how much love you were about to receive.

It's 4 years later on June 13, and i always come back to this video just to remind myself of seeds i should get my hands on before they run out. This review, in particular, is the reason i grow unique tomatoes, and i couldn't be happier

i went on holiday to Greece last year, and the local markets there sold huge, ugly gnarled tomatoes,
we bought some to go in a salad and MY GOD the taste was gorgeous and the texture was like biting into an amazing steak
so we kept some seeds and have planted them back home and they've actually started growing!
got some huge monsters growing! can't wait for them to ripen up, people don't know what they're missing when all they try are supermarket tomatoes :D

I have never liked fresh tomatoes. I will eat salsa, spaghetti sauce and the like, but fresh tomatoes? Nah. This is until I came across your channel. You talked about how the homegrown fruits taste better. Well this year I grew some tomatoes in containers on my patio and my life has been changed. I actually like them! So thanks for that. 💚

Whenever I’m missing my garden, I watch harvest videos. Your videos are my favorite and soothe my impatient and uneasy heart. When I started watching your videos last year, they inspired me to take the first step for the vegetable garden that I was too intimidated to start. It was exhausting to prepare the tiny 10x 20 plot of land, tilling the soil, removing the vast network of weeds, and amending the soil, but it helped to pull me out of my depression for the time that I had my garden. I can’t remember if it was you or another YouTube gardener that said “in your first year of gardening, you harvest wisdom and a snack for later” but it was pretty true. While it was a bit disappointing that I wasn’t able to harvest as I’d hoped, I still felt a sense of gratitude for the experience and connection I felt with the plants and with the happiness I hadn’t known for a while, so in my own way, I was still successful. This past fall/winter has been heavy on my heart, but as I sowed my tomato seeds in their seed starter pots, I haven’t been able to stop feeling like myself, the version of myself that loves reading, learning, connecting with people, exercising. I don’t know if you’ll read this, but thank you, Jessica. Your videos have inspired and liberated me.

This is what we do here in northern Minnesota when stung by a bee or wasp. Right away, get a fresh onion and cut it in half. You want the onion to be juicy. Put this on the sting area and within minutes the sting will go away and you will not swell up from the bite. Of course if you have allergies to bees disregard this. This amazes me even now. Love your video and all your tomatoes 🍅

I love the longer videos with more detail. They are all great but it’s a nice treat when you post a longer video. Ignore that one guy 🙅🏻‍♀️

I’ve been watching your videos for a few weeks now. I’m so grateful for you. You’re like a breath of fresh air. You’ve made this “shelter in place” enjoyable and I’ve learned so much from you. Thank you so much and god bless you and your family.

Jess these videos where you high light the varieties are my favorite videos that you produce. I have not nearly the space you have available so it REALLY helps inspire me and teaches me about varieties that I may experiment with in my planting next year in my little garden🌱🌹❤️
I liken it to a ZOO of tomatoes. Get to see exotic varieties from all over the world! Thank you for sharing !

Jess, do you have a video already on how you core the tomatoes and freeze them and make a sauce? I would love to at least see how you prep them to freeze :)

It's super nice to have someone actually review different heirlooms outside of what the seed catalogs claim. I don't have the space to experiment much. Baker Creek has been hit-and-miss for me, but their Blueberry cherry variety has not only been a prolific, fruit-filled plant, it's been reseeding itself in random places (even in clay and gravel around the pots) every year. I've not had much luck with other varieties in containers.

Jess- have you ever grown SAN MARZANO tomatoes? minimal seeds, lots of flesh and skins easily removed. They are my spaghetti sauce makers! Plants grow 6' tall and fruits are enormous!
