Was a pleasure animating episode 1! Hope folks enjoy this peek behind the scenes!

I truly think there's a market for animated shows to have old school looking drawings while utilizing new animation techniques under the hood. it's so smooth, and looks so great

i really love this project

Why do I feel as this project getting deeper, Austin's stache is getting more.. _intriguing_ .

These days, it honestly takes more work to make something look less polished. Some people were complaining that the Cat-man episode wasn't slick enough, but I loved every second of it, precisely because that vintage, low-budget, slapped-together feel was on purpose, not accidental.

When the artist pulled out the catman suit he made my jaw literally dropped. I want to applaud the absolute badass he is for doing that so he could have good references for how the suit should look in various poses. I don't know if you looked at a lot of other people before choosing him but either way you CHOSE WELL! The love he shows for this project is incredible.

This man's stache is beyond impressive.

Every so often you see why the Internet can still be cool, as with making collaborations like this possible.

Who knew that real content like yours and SpikeyTortoise's videos would be hidden between thousands of reaction videos and others. It almost feels criminal that youtube's algorithm just promotes those and not content that requires creativity and real effort.

It’s so great to see all this content being created from talented artists without a whole heap of money from studios, but with a whole heap of creative freedom. Brilliant work fellas

the increasingly supervillain-esque mustache is a beautiful development

Bro's trying to make his own version of the MCU.

I love it.

I like how the whole thing can work just as a radio show drama, dont need any animations, just like a lot of old shows like spiderman

This is an incredible piece of media. One of the coolest most nostalgic things I've seen in years. Why didn't YouTube show me this?

SPOLIERS FOR SPIDER QUEEN AND CAT MAN

So I read Spider Queen, and it seems to take place in the modern day. But Cat Man seems to take place in the midcentury period. It made me question how the two were planned to connect.

Thanks for sharing the behind the scenes, it's so cool to see this Hanna Barbara style art come to life in a modern era

The intentional mistakes are what got me. It reminds me of the "spirit bead" that I have on some of my jewelry I bought from art fairs. They're extra/missing beads on a piece intentionally put in to remind people that life isn't perfect and that doesn't make it any less beautiful.

Austin, Love the sentiment but it's not just animators. People like us will make long form mini docs that fly completely under the radar. Not saying that animation deserves less; We all deserve our place in the algorithm. I'm glad you're bringing views to someone who deserves it. Keep on keeping on.

This whole project, all the way from your discovery of these public domain characters, is just so awesome! It's making me want to chase my own dreams! Keep moving forward, dude!

I loved this. Thanks for the "making of" look. I could see the labor-of-love factor when I watched it but I really appreciated it after watching this. Great job to everyone!
