Missed the opportunity to say “you pull Espresso as well as you pull bitches.”

Not too stale, not too fresh. That’s the rule.

If you're having issues with your coffee going stale quickly hete's a top tip: properly stored away from light and humidity LSD can last decades.
I can guarantee 200ug will be even more memorable than that shot of natural origin espresso.

That first shot of coffee looked SOOO familiar 😂 it’s what you get here in Miami fl on your way to work from the local Cuban coffee shop. I’m being compelled to find the optimal espresso

“This is the reason you are not in true unity with the espresso: you do not perform the daily ritual to the goddess Caffenia which I, her priest, do now reveal as the sole way to true happiness and life.”

This is actually wrong/unclear. You should actually be pulling espresso with beans that have been roasted 2-3 weeks ago. If you buy directly from a roaster, ask them at what shelf-life you should be pulling from for best results!

Absolute BS. Freshness will make a difference to the quality of the shot but nowhere near as dramatic as shown here, it certainly doesn't go bad after only a month.

Furthermore single origin has NO impact on the quality of the shot, you could even argue it has a negative impact as a lot of specialty coffee is actually harder to properly extract even if the end result is potentially better.

Why as coffee got to be so pompous and complicated?

I frequently use high quality coffee that is over a year old and it still makes decent crema and has extremely minimal loss in fine notes of flavour. Not sure why others have issues with their coffee spontaneously expiring but I assure you it is not a universal fact ☕

Nobody who does all the things you said re: puck prep is going and using stale coffee. The person this advice is for doesn’t exist.

Not gonna taste it when i kill it with sugar and heavy cream, never gonna drink old coffee black.

Me when the only important part of making coffee is the coffee itself and not the thousands of dollars of equipment. 🤯

Coffee vs Tea

Coffee: be a constant consumer and pay a monthly subscription to our company for freshly baked beans.

Tea: lower water temp and brew times.

Wow, who knew that having tons of money translates to getting great espresso. I didn’t know that, I must spread the word to the townspeople.

This is the only secret anyone should know for starters. This makes drip coffee taste divine as well as espresso.

Nope. This is called confirmation bias. Some old coffee also makes good crema (especially the darker roast); 2-3 months old coffee not considered stale for some roastery (because the way they roast the coffee); crema and beautiful shot doesn't guarantee you good tasting espresso, also bad crema sometimes taste fantastic; gross and flat out bad is just your opinion, we love our coffee whatever it is as long as it taste good for us!
