Review of the LDV G10 Van by Driveline Fleet Limited in association with LDV New Zealand. Driveline are Lease and Finance specialists based in Auckland New Zealand and who have business manages nationwide.
We brought 12 of the G10 Vans for our fleet upgrade. 6 of these being the Petrol and 6 Diesel - all with manual gearboxes. Quuite a few little teething problems especially around the electrics/air conditioning. Parts typically took 4 weeks to arrive. Then we had a drive train failure on one of the petrol vans, two gearboxes and a diff later we ended up changing this out for a diesel manual G10 that has a better and stronger gearbox & diff. A year later another gearbox on petrol van fails - looks like this is going to be an on going problem and the Petrol Manual G10 vans are just not fit for use as a trades vehicle.

I recently brought a 2019 G10 Auto Diesel van.. and gotta say.. comparing it to our previous Chrysler Voyager and Toyota HiAce both SBV van.. and more recently our Ford Transit mid roof (bigger box van).. this is currently the best van I've had here. especially for $30, 500 price tag but regardless of the price savings of $12, 000 or so on a comparable new Hi Ace (Which does NOT have a barn Door option... crazy!) or I-Load which are also as good to drive IMO as the LDV and Hi Ace.... I'll be careful in saying.. these are really really worth checking out. Components built into this Chinese made van are also world class for the product being made. I'd have like to see keyless ignition the G10 van like its people mover counterpart has.. and also nudge bar option to save the front from bumps etc.. but .. otherwise.. 9 out of 10 for sure. .a high 9 too.

mine is 1.9 turbo diesel and just clocked 90000km with racks and nudge and cocky perch . great van no issues

my thoughts were the same as these guys but since i bought one 6months ago ive never looked back you pay for what you get but in this case you have a van with everything in it for 10k yes than most the diesel is better than most and i got it with the barn doors for 600 extra you can rubbish it all you want but i bought a kia pregio in 2004 when all said they were crap never repaired the motor or gearbox and got 750, 000 out of it so depends how you look after it

This car has an Ancap crash rating of 3 out of five. It is a complete death trap. Anything below 5 out of 5 is not acceptable these days. For these guys to be trying to sell it to Kiwi's is a disgrace.
