As a first time mom to a rambunctious 18 month old, I've been trying to find something to keep her entertained, but that helps her developmentally and intellectually. Nowadays everything is about tablets and apps 😔 and I am so happy I found this! Super amazing work. I have no DIY skills but this gives me a lot of ideas. Thank you!

Amazing! I think I’m going to try and make my grandpa one of these. He has dementia and needs something to fidget with so he stays busy

These activity boards are great, I’m really impressed with the skill that these fathers have in building them. One thing that I would do is build a website that shows the particular lesson which is being taught with each board.

For example, the first board should teach penetration. There might be eight activities which teach different ways to put one thing into another. So you might have a big plastic pin which needs to be hammered into a hole. Then a big plastic screw that requires a wrench. Then a plastic pin that has to be wiggled into place. Then a pin that has a reverse thread. Then a disk that rotates into place edgewise. Then a hole with five pieces that have to be pushed into place all together. And also a pin that has a few reverse threads, so the kid has to keep changing direction. The object is to teach the kid how to analyze a situation, and then choose a solution. There are probably thirty different game options, ranging from easy to difficult.

I love this! I’ve been wanting to make my son one for Christmas and this is the best photo/video I’ve found yet! Where do you recommend getting the board and finding all the little accessories? I’ve gotten some from the hardware store but can’t find the little wheel type thing! You did an amazing job!

I’m looking for this kind of thing for my daughter who is blind and intellectually disabled. Her age is 45. Not needing lights but vibrations and sounds as well as music. Will show your video to the electronics shop near my home. Brisbane Australia

Very cool!! I am going to try and make my own. couple of questions. How thick was the main board that you used? and did you make a stand for it?

Do you remember approximately how long the board was and how thick? I've made two before but they were about half the lenght and were so heavy! And I want to make a much longe one. Thanks
Ps. Love the door idea with a lock on it I only made them seperate before

It’s fantastic and super cool! What did you use to stick the magnet to the wood?

Hi Mikael, great idea for my baby, this is the best way to entertain him; I have a question, what kind of wood do u recommend to use for the board and the deep? - Thanks for your answer
