Christian: I built that car. I worked in the Oldsmobile factory in 1973 in Lansing Michigan. I believe that _all_ Toronados, 98s, and 88s were assembled in Lansing. I worked in the Press Metal building. We formed cold sheets of steel into front fenders, hoods, bumpers, and many sorts of hidden brackets and braces. I personally made the braces that run from the top of the middle of the firewall to the middle of the fenders above the wheel wells. I made the hidden front fender braces next to the doors. I made the bracket that holds the bumpers to the frame. Since my shift made half of all of these parts, and since I worked every shift that year, there is a 99.6% chance that there is ONE part in that car which I actually made. Feels so emotional to see this video,

I had a 1974 98 Regency 4-door. I loved that big boat. Except for the 4 miles per gallon in the city and the 10 on the highway with the 455 Rocket, I would still have it today.

Beautiful car. The last one I owned was a 72 (LS) sedan. Dark blue inside and outside vinyl delete. It was loaded with every power option it sat in a farmers field for a few years. It needed a wax job real bad and having lost my new car to a divorce I really got some Long term service out of it. That is going back over thirty five years ago. God bless.

Beauty, I owned one in high school, this car was one of the only cars I owned that on the freeway, you could let go of the wheel and the car would stay in the lane around the curves! Used to do it with passengers, and wait till someone couldn't contain themselves. Then explain as the car simply "drove itself" it would do it for miles. Never one problem ever, sold it to my parents, because Dad loved the car. LOL

Love those Oldsmobile’s. I had a 76’ Regency coupe. Actually prefer the dash on the 71-73.

Very nice. I’ve ridden in many 98s as a kid from my Folks to several Uncles. Finest luxury car of this era imo. But it’s the LS and not the Regency Bill. Lol. I am looking for a 75 or 76 Regency coupe in mint and under 50, 000 original miles. Prefer 35, 000 or under and I know it’s hard to find but some time some one will bring forth a well kept. And maybe a 72 Coupe. If not then a 79 Cadillac Coupe DeVille. My Dad bought Mom a custom ordered all white coupe DeVille and when it had 55, 000 miles later In the 1980s they gave it to me as the first car and I was thrilled because it was kept immaculate. I even polished it a few times so I knew I had a gem and I wished I would’ve kept that car away. It was one of the best ones that I ever owned besides a 91 Chevy lumina and my present Lexus LS. This will sell for a decent price if people know Oldsmobile 98s 455. But the Regency would really sell!

Nice !!! You need to demonstrate & explain how that retractable grill is incorporated with the front bumper and did this car have the optional anti skid controll modulation system

I'm 67 years old now. My father had a garage in NYC in the 70s . When I was a teenager, I drove most of the cars that you show on your videos. Big, comfortable, great smooth rides. Never see that again. Wonderful videos. Love the cars
Where are you located? Love the info. Thanks

You should have left the original hubcaps. Back in the day very few had the spokes. So times you can know the year of a car by looking at the hubcaps. GM was changing them almost every year. But to each his own. Either way you have come across some beautiful Oldsmobiles, I don't know where you find them. You are always very transparent. I'm sure it will sell fast.
