The worst for me wasn't in a restaurant. I bit into a Chip's Ahoy cookie once and got a mouthful of hair.

Not a restaurant ... in the school lunch my mom packed me ... about a square inch shard of glass in my PBJ sandwich ... she was scrapping the last bit of jelly out of the bottom of the jar and hit the bottom a bit too hard ... the shard broke off, landed in my open sandwich and she didn't notice ... brought it home to her that afternoon and God bless her she believed me and when we checked the empty cleaned jar in the dish rack, the shard was a perfect fit ... it was a bad time for us, my father had just passed away ...

I once found a (presumably fake / plastic) fingernail in a cup of chili from the university cafeteria. I went back and the lady told me to just take it out and that it's "no big deal."
So I slammed the styrofoam cup of chili upside down onto the counter (which basically exploded in every direction) and yelled "You take it out!!!" and then left. It was the week before finals and I was too sleep-deprived and stressed out to argue. I bet that fingernail was actually hers.

When I ate some Take out food from a Chinese restaurant around the corner from where I live. The first time I ordered there I found a finger nail in my chow mein then the second time I found the chopped off head of a cockroach staring at me while I was eating pork fried rice. I never ordered from that restaurant again

This happened at a Chili's in McDonough, GA some years back. My sister, her boyfriend, and his parents were having lunch at Chili's. The boyfriend's mother was eating a salad, when part of her salad started to move. A cockroach broke through the bed of lettuce and made its presence known. Mrs. Hanson called over the waiter and showed him her unexpected lunch guest proudly poking up out of her salad. The waiter asked if she would like another salad. She said, "No. I would like a refund and some Pepto Bismol, if you have any." It took a while before they stepped into a Chili's again. No one ordered the salad again.

about 10 years ago, a friend of mine ordered a sweet and sour combo from the local Chinese restaurant that I told her was no good even though I had never eaten there before. She got about halfway through her meal and dipped in what she thought was going to be a sweet and sour chicken piece but when she bit into it, it was actually a deep fried cockroach 🤮

Husband work for Pest Control.... He went to service a Chinese Restaurant, first time. Bad mouse problem... For those of you that don't know, when mice eat they automatically relieve themselves.
Mice all over the place in baskets cooked and ready to serve. Okay, now instead of throwing out the rice (with 3 mice found in it), They just scoop it on the plates. Poop and all!!! No more Chinese food for me anymore!!!!
