I think this is my favorite car you've found. Tuxedo Black 4 sp LS6 hard to top.
And really remarkable body.
The first thing I noticed that I learned from you are the chrome trim under headlights that notes an "earlier build"..
That's a keeper and a full rotisserie restoration car.

Great find. USA1 🇺🇸

I live 10 minutes from Scranton. Couldn’t believe you said you found this near Scranton. Wow! Beautiful car. 🔥🔥

It's amazing to me how many LS6s you find and how, even though they have been modified significantly over the decades, they remain largely intact. Even in the day, it seems like people knew these were going to be a big deal 52 years later. My date-coded-tire-air ocd mid-yearCorvette restoration obsession is greatly rewarded with your insistence on assembly line accuracy. Thanks for the memories.

I've always loved 1970 Chevelles. If I ever hit the lottery, I'll be hunting for a numbers matching black on black, no stripe, no vinyl top 70 SS. Since I'd like to actually drive it rather than setting valve lash every few weeks, I'd probably look for an L-34 or LS-5 car. On the other hand, I don't mind setting valve lash now and then lol! Until I'm rich though, I'll just be happy with the black on black 70 Malibu that my wife and I restored and modified ourselves. While it's not a numbers matching car, it does have a full house small block and can definitely hold its own. I've never even thought about turning it into a "clone" either.

In 1972 a friend from high school, after a bet two get straight A's in his last report card father bought his son a brand new LS 6 with 454 Holly 4 barrel cowl induction Hurst shift the works. One early summer day he took the challenge to race a mutual friend who had a big block cougar. After cougar took the lead for maybe 3 seconds before we zipped on by. He kept accelerating. I said that's enough Steve you won. He replied just a minute. My heart started to race. I looked over at the speedometer. It read 142 mph. My entire life flashed before my eyes. Your car is the exact same he had except his had the Hurst t handle and was the popular blue with black stripes.

Congrats Patrick on another great barn find LS6. Can't wait for a follow up to see miles and underneath. I noticed there is a large collection of 70 LS6 cars coming up at Mecum soon. Someone may want your assistance to verify for a purchase. I know I would if I was in the market. Right now I'm trying to decide if I want to sell my Gto for another mid year Vette, Chevelle or Nova.
Anyway it was great to see your new video and purchase after waiting for a month or so since the last one. Have a Happy Thanksgiving and see your next posting soon.. 👍
