I invest in shops and create flats above .
All my shops are rented out and so are my flats .
I manage all myself .
In my opinion it is a GOOD TIME to invest in the high street .
At a recent Allsop Auction I purchased a Betting Shop with 2 flats above for a bargain price .
I will continue to invest in the high street as it will not die, you will just see change and there will always be a need for restaurants, coffee shops, hairdressers etc etc .

This is where everyone misses the point not that I am complaining, I have just closed the deal on a further 2 commercial units and both have signed fresh 5 year leases. The high street will never die, businesses that become irrelevant will and in its place you will have other relevant businesses that will benefit from the footflow etc.

Guys, you overlooked one of the biggest pros of commercial property. That being, the ability to place it within a pension scheme and keep all profits tax free until retirement.
