The reason there was no sunset timeline could be that the crown would've never existed in the firstplace

My Theory on the very dark timeline where everything is dead is that it comes from the episode: Dragonshy (Season 1, Episode 7). Where essentially the dragon would "cover equestria in smoke for 100 years", but then fluttershy stopped the dragon, in the other world no one would go to the dragon and succeed, so I think that the last timeline was caused by the dragon since no sun would mean that all the plants would die, and thus since ponies eat the grass they could have all starved to death.

What is the bear AU was actually a timeline where Daybreaker and nightmare moon fought against each other and ended up accidentally destroying the planet and each other by sending the sun and the moon to the planet this might’ve been like centuries after that, so the place was you know no longer lava it’s now like a barren wasteland, but I am thinking that since every pony is probably dead and since the sisters are supposed to be immortal, then I’m guessing that they just had a very large war and it ended up killing everybody because the sun in the moon aren’t there and there are a bunch of clouds in the sky and somehow they’re able to breathe. I don’t know I’m just coming up with the apocalypse

My theory is that, we all know because of the Mane six, many villains were stopped, like Cozy glow, discord, Queen Chrislis, etc. So when starlight stopped the sonic rainboom, none of these villains were stopped and they all took over different places in equestria. Then, of course, they would want more. Every one of these villains would fight over who would get all of equestria and the place will become a war zone. Who knows? Maybe it's true. 🤷🏻‍♀️

One thing, the crown would’ve never been found in the first place due to 2 reasons: The Crystal Empire would have never been restored + Twilight would not have been a Princess to begin with for Sunset to realize and take the element of Magic in her own world

If the 6 didn't exist then twilight's wouldn't have gotten her element so sunset couldn't have had a timeline but she wouldn't have the element

It Hass to be true how to get the elements of harmony so she could be stronger than everyone except twilight in the main six held twilight in the human world so her friends can team up with her if twilight didn’t have any friends, she would’ve been defeated by now or we call it the magic of friendship.

I do have a theory that she likely played 5 other ponies who had a similar goal.. however once nightmare moon was out of the picture. Sunset probably betrayed them taking all 6 elements for herself.

Honestly, Sunset would probably have enough determination to force a few dozen ponies to give her the elements of harmony.

Guys I have a theory. And, even though I don't watch mlp anymore, I have a theory! We saw starlight creating many universes where the main 6 don't meet up and other Villians win. But, the last one was just a wasteland. CLEARLY no one knows what universe this is....until now!
Let's think about this. Remember the universes with those villains winning in other timelines? Maybe in this one is a universe where they ALL fight eachother to the death until it became an entire wasteland. That's a good possibility. But here's a better one. The Sirens, from the Equestria girls mlp episode where twilight goes into the portal again and they fight the Sirens. Technically, if the main 6 don't come together, no one would stop the Sirens. They could destroy the entire EARTH as we saw in the episode. This is either a universe where the Sirens go to the pony world to destroy it as well, or a universe where we see what could've happened but in the human world, which doesn't add up to THEIR timeline but is possible. Heck, maybe demon sunset could get into play? Although, technically, sawtooth pointed out that without the element of magic being exposed since they didn't meet in this universe, sunset would NEVER be a demon
