OBJECTIVE
To present a bboy from anywhere in the world an award in recognition of their dedication and contribution to our community for the year 2011.

AWARD

CRITERIA
Any Bboy/Bgirl can receive votes, but we are looking at 3 KEY CATEGORIES that should determine your vote:

1) Skill. Did they put their skill on the line for the 2011 calender year? How many battles were competed and won? Cypher battles count as much as competition battles.

2) Contribution. Did they teach workshops, judge eents or organize events for bboys to attend? Online involvement through forums or blogs? The "Each One, Teach One" mentality is a very important aspect of growth in our culture.

3) Reputation. Are they professional? Can they act as role models for the younger generation? What kind of name do they have among promoters and fellow bboys?

How To Vote & Participate:
STEP 1: Now - November 22. Open Public Voting.

STEP 2: November 22 - November 24. Committee Selection.
A worldwide committee of bboys, DJ's, and promoters has been established to validate, review, and select 5 of the top 10 vote getters. The committee consists of:

North America
Roxrite - Renegades / 2010 Bboy of the Year winner
Crost 1 - Freestyle Session
Skeme Richards - Rock Steady Crew

Europe
Freeze - Ghost Crew
DJ Renegade

Asia
Yorick - Culture Shock

STEP 3: December 10 - 11. OUTBREAK 7 live voting.
The Top 5 dancers will move on to this final stage. The human element will determine the winner at Outbreak 7 Hip Hop Festival. A ballot will be presented to those who wish to vote as they enter the venue. One ballet per individual. Winner will be announced at the end of the event.

Note: This is not a lifetime achievement award or something that will make changes in our community. This award is a fun project within our community. If you do not wish to participate, there is no requirement.

@kodozer It's a popularity contest in the end, but Strife tries to frame it around community service and repping the community as much as individual skills. It's just good any bboy gets some rec. and a little extra cash.
