When Luther was asked why did he eliminate 7 books. he angrily responded, " because I wanted to. "
That's the man that turned Canon on its ear leading millions of followers away from God.

I appreciate the information …as a Protestant I will look into the remaining books and think further on this.
The main concerns I have with Catholicism is not as much the book/Bible differences but all the extras that Catholicism has. Praying to Mary and the saints and works based salvation. I do certainly not believe in living like the world and still thinking you’re saved because you recite the sinners prayer. I really appreciate their stance on life in the womb and service to others. They are true warriors. What is needed is
Repentance and walking with Jesus and being transformed by him…displaying the fruits of the spirit. I do think the church slipped into error….that yes the Holy Spirit has spoken to others about errors in all churches. Not all Catholics are saved just like not all Protestants are saved. Not everyone in a church pew is headed to heaven.
Can we not pray for each other and lift each other up despite differences? Agree to disagree

If you checked Luther's Bible you'll find that all the books are still there nothing has been taken out

Jerome also wanted to exclude the apocrypha. Those books were never meant to be read as scripture, they were included in the first Greek translations made for the Alexandrian library because they were important heritage books for the Jewish people. The Jews knew they weren’t scripture and attested to that long before Luther, the early church received bibles that contains these books and, being gentile converts, did not know to distinguish them from the rest of the Bible.

It’s as nuts as Joseph Smith proclaiming that the Catholic Church experienced a “total apostasy, ” that HE ALONE knew about. It’s really insane that people can be led so far astray like that.

Luther himself was dismayed when his contemporary heretics disagreed with him & declared they were as inspired as he was. That occurred almost immediately.

Luther always believed in Mary’s perpetual virginity and her immaculate conception. Of all the things Luther taught why did his followers eventually reject these things?

Martin Luther, like many others, was against the corruption of the Catholic Church.
Even now, I hear that catholics pay money to the church for eventual delivery of their family or friends souls, to go to heaven.
This is a heresy! Only JESUS can save souls.

'For God so loved the world, that he sent his only begotten son, JESUS, that whoever believes on Him, shall not perish, but have everlasting life '
John 3 : 16

This is why Martin Luther did as he did.
The biblical truths he revealed will have been given to him by God's holy spirit.


Jesus said, "I am the way and the truth and the life, NO MAN COMETH TO THE FATHER BUT BY ME "
John 14 : 6
