Siomai is one of the most requested recipes from my followers. I have many recipes for siomai in my classes but I specially formulated a new one for this tutorial. In the authentic siomai recipe, the meat is not ground rather they are chopped into small dice with a cleaver. Same is done with the pork fat. Please don’t skip the pork fat because your siomai will come out very dry. Fat makes the siomai tender and juicy. The chili sauce in this tutorial is a great compliment for the siomai. Please watch the video in full to learn the techniques.

I always make siomai for my kids coz it's one of thier favorites.. all my questions are answered! I used to have problem with cooked siomai separating from wrapper ganun pala ang technique to avoid it at saka s pag wrap it's taking me forever.. thank u chef you're so generous with your tips🤩

OMG !! Chef Rose I made siomai with your recipe at talaga namang patok na patok ! Ang sarrrrap! Ngayon ko lang nalaman ang secret para dumikit yung karne sa wrapper, dati Kasi yung siomai na gawa ko eh maliban sa hinde lasang siomai eh naiiwan pa lagi ang wrapper sa steamer 😂. At yung sauce, my goshhh! The best Talaga! Thanks chef Rose for sharing your recipe! I can make my own siomai na at kikiam dito sa Chicago. Next time gagawa naman ako ng fishball .. Thanks again !

I’ve cooked siomai for so many times and I always get disappointed with the taste and the look (malnourished)😅. Your method and recipe is so much different from the ones I saw and I can’t wait to try them..😍 Thank you sooo much for sharing.🙏🏻 Btw, if i use electric steamer, should I put a cloth on top of the siomai? Coz it always gets too much water drippings from the steam.. Thanks again.❤️
