It was a lose-lose situation. You show your bangs & and he's "shocked" at what he sees.... but if you didn't do what he asked, he would have made a big deal of it, and when he finds out why you didn't move your hair, he would have acted as if he would have taken it well.

BUT, if I were him, and a student of mine had a life altering injury, and I wasn't told before meeting the class, I would have been MAD. Especially considering everyone else knew. I would have also gone to the principal, but only to lose my shit with them and tell them how unprofessional it was that they didn't disclose this before I embarrassed myself, and potentially a student, infront of the class.
