'How to Spot a Scam' - Dare County Sheriff's Office Presentation

Captain Kevin Duprey and Lieutenant Doug Oberbeck with the Dare County Sheriff's Office gave presentations at the "How to Spot a Scam" event that was held at the Thomas A. Baum Senior Center in Kill Devil Hills on August 6, 2024. This free event—which was geared specifically toward older adults in the Dare County community, as well as their family members and caregivers—was designed to empower attendees by providing them with knowledge on protecting themselves and their families from various scams, encompassing cybercrime, mail fraud, identity theft, Medicare fraud, banking and investments.
