Edit: Everyone seems to be trying to explain why Canadian provinces would want to join America (despite Canadians historically always trying to be distinct from the US, but whatever), yet also at the same time trying to say this video is satire and shouldn't be taken seriously. I know this isn't supposed to be realistic but I just wanna say what i though about the Canada situation. Firstly, the way it's going now, there is almost no way that there would even be a independance referendum in Quebec (I'm from Quebec so I would know), secondly, if surpinsigly Quebec was to get independance, (which I doubt) the maritime provinces would never go away from Canada, There are so many exemple that a nation can govern a land without directly touching it, (just think of the British Empire, hell even Alaska) and even if Quebec was to seceed there would probably be negotiation for them to give land to Canada so they would touch the Maritime provinces. There is basically no way that the maritime provinces would be given to the USA. Just wanted to point that out there, it just feels like some Americans that dont know a single thing about Canadian history or politics wants to find ways to imagine the USA getting Canadian territories.

I feel like China would split Xinjiang into two during the treaty negotiations after the CCP falls, with China keeping the Han-majority north based in Dihua/Urumqi (Beijiang) and East Turkistan being established and based in Kashgar(Tarim Basin).

Even as an American, having the maritime provences join the US seems... odd. Because we've been cut off from Alaska for a century and a half and they haven't joined Canada... just doesn't feel right to me.
