I just realized the shipping cost associated with sending a parcel with Canada Post, and it kind of put an end to my "reselling items we don't use anymore" project. I've been watching videos for a few days now about American flippers who have been having great success with flipping items on Ebay, and I assumed it would be somewhat similar for Canadians. Turns out, those shipping costs really limit what can be sold for a profit. As you said, you either need to sell very expensive items or small, lightweight items that can fit in large envelopes.

How long have you been selling items on Ebay? And where / how do you get those good video game deals?

Thanks for this, Alex! I've been using Calculated this whole time. With Lettermail, there's no tracking. How can you guarantee that the item is delivered, or when the buyer says he didn't get the package.

Have you had any issues (damage or returns) using those envelopes? If you ship a valuable game/cd, can you insert extra cardboard or bubblewrap with exceeding the weight limit (200)?

Why is it so expensive to mail anything in Canada with Canada Post when they are so heavily subsidized? Canada needs to allow alternative cheaper options. This is ridiculous

Hey Alex, great videos, I'm just getting started and had a questions for you.

The shipping in eBay is just an estimated total correct? They don't automatically deduct that from the sale price?

Basically, I just need to take my fully labeled and packed item to the post office and see what they charge me to send it? I'm just going to be doing video games and small items like you, using bubble mailers and printable address labels. I guess I'm just trying to better understand shipping.

Also, how do you get the ad to say 14.99 + 1.99 from your other video? Sorry for the questions.
