I look at the Norman invasion, and particularly this castle, as symbolizing the problems that we see in the world because the Normans stripped the Anglo Saxon and Celtic tribes of their freedoms. They brought feudalism in its worst manner. We see the struggle in the United States today between, the few who want all the power, and the many who desire freedom. Let’s not mention what horrors they brought to my family in Ireland, and peoples around the world. Remind me to avoid this place.
